Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is skilled treatment that provides the training necessary to help you live independently. Training includes education regarding adaptive techniques and equipment to make activities of daily living easier. With your doctors order outpatient physical and occupational therapists can assist you in therapy in our Wellness Center and warm water lap pool. Our on staff personal trainer can work with you to increase balance, strength and stamina.

Driver Assessment Program

The Driver Assessment Program uses off‐road testing performed by specially trained Occupational Therapists. Participating in the Driver Assessment Program provides older adults with useful information that allows them to have objective conversations with their family and physician about their driving abilities. The award‐winning Driver Assessment Program goes above and beyond a mere subjective exam of vision and basic ability as it relates to driving. It considers physical ability to maintain a secure grip on the steering wheel, a driver’s ability to pay attention to multiple tasks, and more.

How the program works:

• Using objective and cognitive measurement tools, we assess the individual’s physical and mental abilities to drive.
• The evaluation takes approximately 2 hours. Results are discussed with the client and referrals are made for further evaluation and training as needed.
• Results and recommendations are sent to the client's physician.
• The physician uses the results to make informed decisions about the client's ability to independently and safely operate a motor vehicle.

Our clinics are Medicare‐certified and we are able to work with a variety of insurance companies.
